A Rough Weekend

I really hate going to the vet. I hate it so much, that this weekend, I went there twice just to make sure I hate it.

On Saturday my humans took me for something called "routine vaccines." Whatever.

But, after said shots, I didn't feel very well. My humans were monitoring me closely all weekend, and on Sunday I gave them a loud and clear message: "I'm sick!" when I thumbed my nose at some fresh tuna Cindy put right in my face.

After that, it was back in the car to a new kitty doctor. I had a temperature, and they had to keep me overnight. Everyone there was very nice, and they kept calling me "beautiful." I know, I know, just make me feel better! I've got my eye on that tuna...

My humans took me home early this morning, and I finally have enough energy to blog about my horrendous, sick weekend. Here's some more pics from my trials and tribulations over the last 48 hours.

Leaving the Pet Emergency Room
in Garden Grove at 6:30 a.m.
Hooray!

The only thing I hate more than the vet is the car.
Here I am next to Cindy as she helped me calm down on the way home.

In order to hook me up to this IV-thingie,
they had to shave part of my leg.

Pretty punk rock, eh?

A Word About the Camera

You know, I know I'm cute and all, but sometimes I think my humans go overboard with taking so many pictures of me. This is one example. I don't really think it captures my true essence. I mean, you can't even see my fit body! My face looks totally smushed. Really, I have a much cuter mug than that shown here.

Weather: Yesterday was pretty windy.
Glad I'm inside cause I don't like my "feathers" ruffled.

A Word About Doggies

For the record, just because I am a cat doesn't mean I hate dogs. In fact, they're pretty darn cute! Look at this little guy over there. He's doing what I like to do, too! Sleep, and sleep a lot.

Sometimes I think I'm a dog: I come when my human calls me, I'm always begging for attention, and I like to run around a lot. Was I a dog in a past life? I dunno.

Look at the mama doggie over there on the right. She looks tired! I would be, too, if I had all those kids!

Thanks to my human's friend Winnie from Taiwan who sent these pictures. Winnie is a "dog person," but I'll forgive her. Can't we all just get along?

Weather: I think the rain is gone for now. I'm ready for the sun!

A Word About the Bed

I'm really glad that I've got the whole day to stay in bed. I'm pretty tired after celebrating Valentine's Day plus President's Day.
Don't you wish you could
join me for a nap?

Weather: More, more and more rain.
What a pity.

A Word About Valentine's Day

I don't wanna get all mushy and stuff, but I think the picture says it all. Last night, to show her how much I love her, I woke her up at 1:30 a.m. to feed me. I just wanted to spend a little extra time with her!

Have a great Valentine's Day.
Where's my fish bouquet?

Weather: The rain has gone...for now.

A Word About My Human's Lap

The minute my human Cindy comes home, she always lies down on the couch for me to jump onto her lap. I really miss her these days now that she's busy with work and school.

In this picture, she's already in her pajamas, with my favorite blankie that has a picture of cute ponies on it. But they're not as cute as yours truly.

Weather: Hmm. It was foggy this morning, but I bet it'll burn off.

A Word About Clouds

It's still a little early, but I don't see a single cloud in the sky! Hooray! In yesterday's post, I was a little premature about the sun. It ended up hiding most of the day, and showers came down intermittently. Bummer.

But! Today will be glorious. Today will be excellent. Today will be spent soaking up the rays to keep my golden-brown glow. Today will be good.

Weather: Come on Mr. Sun. Show me whatcha got.

Here Comes the Sun

It's going to be a good day. The sun is peeking out from the clouds, and I'm ready to take my usual spot in the window. I hope you enjoy our reprieve from all the downpours lately.

Weather: Yes, there's still clouds on the horizon,
but I'm betting the sun will win.

A Word About Warmth

The rain they promised is finally here. There's lots of little storms in a row, not just one whole big one. Yes, my previous post complained about the too hot weather, and now I'd like to complain about the too cold weather. What can I say, I'm a study in opposites!

I guess I won't be getting any sun today. I'll just have to be patient and remember that my spot between the blinds will be available to me when things clear up.

Weather: You guessed it. Wet and cold.

A Word About Global Warming

Whenever I post, I always put a weather report at the end, right? Well lately, I've been worried about this weather business.

This whole week here has been so warm, hot even. I don't get it. It's winter.
Where's winter?

Don't get me wrong, I much prefer sunny days to rainy ones, but I really wonder what's going on with global weather patterns.
I smell a rat.

Weather: Where's that rain they promised? I like the sound.

A Word About Koky

Remember my friend Snowy? Well, his owner has another cat in her home country. This is Koky. Isn't he cute? He lives in Saudi Arabia.

I know the picture is a little dark, but he looks very happy and healthy. He has orange hair, which I just love. So exotic compared to my own plain, brown fur. I hope Koky isn't too hot over there in S.A.

Weather: Again, calling for rain in the next few days. Waaaahhhh!

A Word About Vacuum Cleaners

Unlike my other four-legged brethren, I do not cower in the presence of a working vacuum cleaner. Most other kitties run and hide at its first roar, but not me.

Case in point: Yesterday my human had some extra time to clean before going to school, and I didn't even flinch as this machine approached my sleeping spot. Yes, I am brave.

Weather: There'd better be plenty of water in my bowl
because it's been hot, hot, hot!

A Word About Sports

Why is football so popular in America? The only "football" that matters is SOCCER! I wish that sport was followed by more people here. I don't really like any sports...except fishing! My human goes fishing when she plays Animal Crossing on the Wii. I want to eat what she catches.

Weather: February is usually rainy around here, but no sign of that.
