The Perfect Book

With all that rain last week, I was able to catch up on some reading while snuggling under the covers. Although it's a book for children, there's still plenty of challenging vocab PLUS fun pictures to look at. I mostly looked at the pictures...

Belial's Best Book: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, by Judi Barrett. Yes, Hollywood made it into a computer-animated flick, but the book came first with its original take on what would happen if food replaces all things Mother Nature.

Please Turn off the Rain

Make it stop! Make it stop! For the past three days, it's been raining...cats and dogs. No, really. There's been several big storms back-to-back ripping through So Cal lately. I think there's more to come.
This photo (courtesy of the Associated Press), shows a tornado that damaged parts of Long Beach. That's right near my house! I was so scared that day. We RARELY have tornadoes here. There were tornadoes in other parts of So Cal, too. Wow. Mother Nature is angry about something!

Weather: Still, rainy. Please turn off the rain. I want some sun.

I Spy a Truck

Whenever strangers come to my house,
especially in BIG LOUD cars, I check things out.

I don't like BIG LOUD cars. On this day, it was the cable guy.

I don't watch TV!
Why are you bothering me with your BIG LOUD car?
