Resolutions for the New Year

In 2009 I will...
sleep more, eat more, get more attention from my humans, play with more string, quit waking my humans up at ungodly hours for food, find new and interesting places to hang out, call my friends more often, and keep up with my blog.

See you next year!

Weather: So foggy today.
I hope my humans are okay driving out there.

Boxy Brown

One of my favorite things to do is find new places to hang out. Whether it's the sock drawer, a cabinet in the kitchen, or a random box, I'll always check it out and claim it as mine.

Recently this box has disappeared, and all I have are the memories and this picture. Good times.

Weather: Actually, been pretty warm here lately. Perfect.

Time to Play

I don't want you all to think I'm a total do-nothing sloth. Yes, I cherish my time, a lot of my time, lazing around asleep in various designated spots.

But, I can play along with the most agile of kitties. Despite having no claws, I'll still try to grab anything you wave my way that remotely resembles a wet noodle.

I had a lotta fun a few months ago messing with these balloon strings when my Japanese girlfriend had her wedding shower at my human's house.

Weather: Been very chilly lately, but the sun is out.
It's all good.

Not Amused

Would somebody please tell humans that their pets DO NOT understand holidays and customs? Please get this insulting thing off my head, now. I'm so embarrassed that I had to play the fool in my humans' Xmas whims. Bah humbug.

Weather: Rain again. What, do we live in Seattle now?!

Nighty-Nite

Since my human is on vacation now, she's been doing a lot of sleeping. I'm reaping the benefits. One of my interests as listed in my profile is "sleeping on faces," and here's the proof. She kindly moves over in the bed to give me room on the pillow, much to the chagrin of my other human who shares the bed with us. I especially like this time of year when the flannel sheets are used.

Weather: Crisp and clear. Maybe too crisp.
Heading back to those flannel sheets.

Bathroom Belial

Lately, I've been staking out new territory. When my humans leave warm towels straight from the dryer sitting on counters, I'm right there.

Although I normally stay away from bathrooms, you know, on account of the water, this spot was just too cozy to pass up.

Weather: Little drops of rain falling this morning.
Guess I should stay in bed.

I'm Confused

Although the tag on my collar reads "Belial," my humans sure throw me a lotta curve balls with all the other monikers they call me: Mr. Kitty, Fur-fur, Brownie, Mr. Furry, Sexy, ベラちゃん, Lazy, 猫ちゃん, Belial Crocodile, かわいい猫, Spazzy, and just regular "Kitty" is the most often heard.
I wish they would pick a name and stick with it.
I'm starting to feel like Sybil.

Weather: In about one hour the sun's gonna be hitting my favorite window seat. Cheers.

I'm Hungry

A picture is worth a thousand words, right?
'Nuff said.

Weather: I dunno. I'm hungry. Hurry up.

I'm Angry

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. See what this guy over there on the right has? Claws. Do I have any like him? No. I ask myself on a daily basis, "Why, why, why did my previous owners take mine out?" Was that Ethan Allen furniture really so important to you? Did those drapes I shredded really cost $2,000? I'll never know.

When I play with string, it always gets away from me. When I climb up slippery surfaces, I'm sure to slide back down. It's no fun being clawless. I still try, though, and my humans find it quite amusing. They even bought me a scratching post which I actually "use."

Please, other cat-owning humans, don't do this to your furry friend. It's an act of mutilation, plain and simple, and I'll always be a little bit angry about it.

Weather: Well, it's pretty early, and there's ice on all of the rooftops in my 'hood. A definite sign that I belong back under the flannel covers of my humans.

Check Me Out

I see my human doing this blog thing all the time. Not sure what I'm doing here. Think I'll go back to sleep. Nice to meet you, and welcome to my diary of all things important to cats. Or rather, all things important to this cat.

Weather: Too cold for a cat. Been raining here the past 3-4 days.
Where is the sun?!
