It's over?!

Yesterday, my female human finished the first quarter at her new job. When she came home she looked both happy and sad...she always tells me that she will miss her students!

However, I think she should *mostly* be happy because for the next few weeks:
  • We can take lots of naps together
  • We can hang out all day on the couch reading books together
  • We can eat tuna together!
So, I'll do my best to comfort her as she finally has some downtime to catch her breath and, best of all, spend time with me!

Weather: It was pretty hot last week, but now that September's here, it's anybody's guess what the temps will be.

Thwarted

It has been a while since my last post because I have been a bit heartbroken and not feeling like writing. It seems that my beloved Bonsai has a jealous pseudo-paramour.

Please meet: Sigmund Schlomo Furgalore R. the 1st

He cohabitates w/Bonsai and has been upset about my continued requests to meet his housemate. I can't really tell: Are they "just friends"...or something more? No matter the case, I will not give up in my quest to win Bonsai's heart!

Weather: Maaaaan, it's been really hot lately.
This is NOT May weather! Heat, please come back in June.

I'll send tuna relief

I have been in absolute shock and total worry since I heard the news from my humans yesterday about the big earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan.

Some of my FAVORITE girlfriends are Japanese, and I hope that they, plus all their family & friends, are okay.

Ya know, in So Cal we have earthquakes, too. I remember last year, on Easter, there was a pretty good one. It was very "rolly" instead of violent & "jolty." I don't like earthquakes at all. For the Easter one, I immediately jet under my humans' bed and stayed there for about an hour.

What time you do think I finally emerged from under the bed?
Of course: dinner time.

Weather: It's been quite lovely here lately. Warm & sunny.

Are You Ready?

Hello to all my female human's students out there.
It's the start of a new semester.
Are you ready? Nervous? Excited?

I'm excited to meet you and hope that you'll have fun reading my blog. These days I'm a little sad because my female human has to go back to work. We had a nice summer together hanging out reading and taking naps.

How about you? How was your summer?
Get ready for a busy fall!

Weather: Well, typical for August. Heating up these days.

Sweet Memories

About two weeks ago, I was lazing about happily w/my female human. We had some good times while she was on vacation. And by good times, I mean good NAP times.

Now that she's back at school, she's gone all day. I really miss her. In the meantime, I just wait and sleep all day on her pillow.

She doesn't like it when she goes to bed at night because she says that my hair gets all over her face. Whaaat? I'm just trying to show some love!

Weather: Wish I could take my "coat" off. It's getting warmer.

I miss my human

My female human has been too busy lately for my tastes. She comes home late, she leaves the house early.

I'm simply not getting enough time with her these days. I hope this coming weekend we can spend some quality time together.

To all her students reading this: you're lucky...at least she's spending time with you. Me? I'm just alone all day sleeping on the bed or couch. Woe is me.

Weather: Kinda warm, actually.
These are unseasonably high temps for March.

I'm NOT paranoid, but...

If you look closely at this picture, you might see something strange. Heeeyyy, what's that guy on the left doing there? I think he's spying on all things cat.

I've blogged before (please read the previous post at this link) how I don't mind dogs, but really, this is ridiculous! Buddy, you'll never be as cool as a cat, so just give up.

Weather: Perhaps, my favorite. SUN!

This is all WRONG!

The sound of pouring rain woke me up this morning. I guess my last post was wrong; the weather reports were not a false alarm.

Also, maybe I need to keep working on my English because it seems I misinterpreted the reports. After all, my first language IS cat.

So, I guess today I'm just gonna stay in bed. Or nap on the couch. Or play with some string if I get bored. Woe is me.

Weather: Yeah, it's rainy.

Back to School

Instead of being at school, don't you wish you were home like me? Just imagine all the fun things you could do at home instead of studying English like you are now...
  • Take long naps
  • Eat delicious fish
  • Sit in the sunlight
  • Chase furry toys
I hope that your new semester goes well because, well, I'm gonna be at home, doing what I do best...
...as per the list above!

Good luck with your studies.
I'm going to go study the backs of my eyelids.
ZzzzzZz...

Weather: This summer is weird. Not too hot, so I can't complain.
Back to school in So Cal is usually MUCH hotter.
Maybe in September it will heat up?

しっちゃん: Neighborhood Watch Kitty

A couple weeks ago, my human Cindy went to meet her best friend's new kitty, しっちゃん, for the first time. Shicchan was quite 元気, she's only about 5-6 months old.

Here she is protecting her owners from any harm.
I think she's doing great patrolling the window sills.

Weather: Lately been less hot than usual for this time of year.
It's definitely been a mild summer.

In the shadows

Lately I've felt like this guy. Left alone, hung out to dry, totally ignored.

My human Cindy has a friend visiting from Japan right now. She pays attention 24/7 to this friend, and I'm getting no love.

I'm lonely. I heard this friend is gonna leave for a coupla days for something called "The California Bar." I hope I get my human back for a little bit.

Weather: Whooooooo. I'm happy to be inside.
The sun is searing these days.

Total Admiration

Look at this guy over there. Wow, what admiration I have for him. He can operate a computer just like me!

I guess dogs are just as smart as cats. But, not toooo smart. He is working on a Mac, after all.

Weather: June Gloom is gone. July hot is here.

Summer Study

My human Cindy starts school again tomorrow. No, she's not a student anymore, remember?
She graduated.

She's just a teacher now, but I'm sure she could even help this little kitty over there learn English.
He only knows how to say meow in Japanese: "ニャア "

Good luck with your studies,
all of my human's students!

Weather: Definitely the common June Gloom for this time of year.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing the sun one of these days.

Un chat du France

My human's friend Winnie is traveling in Europe right now, and she came across this kitty while in Provence.

Don't you think we kinda look alike? He's a cousin of mine from Siam, er, Thailand. I'm a Burmese from Burma. We're both transplants in our respective countries, hoping to build international understanding.

Weather: It was stormy yesterday, thunder and all.
I wonder what today will bring?

Check out my Choppers

All that studying I've been doing with my human lately has worn me out. I'm just gonna laze around in bed all day as my human goes and takes her test.
Good luck!

Weather: Cooled down quite a bit. Partially cloudy.

America's Next Top Kitty

This is the picture I sent to Tyra Banks to become a contestant on "America's Next Top Kitty."

What do you think? It encapsulates my personality quite perfectly.

Any time my human Cindy's cute, young friends come to visit, I instantly sidle up to them. That's my true playboy ways.

Weather: It's sunny. It's supposed to be hot.
Whoo hoo!

My Favorite Toys: Part 2

This is my mousie. It is crinkly, small, and very fun to play with.
If I keep staring at it long enough, maybe it will turn into a real mousie that I can chase around relentlessly.

When I play with my mousie, I bat it around in the air, catch it in my mouth, and then crunch on it to listen to the cool noise it makes. I love my mousie.

Weather: I thought March was supposed to go out like a lamb.
It's been cold, windy and a little rainy lately.

A Convert

This is my human's friend Winnie. She is a self-professed dog lover.

Last Saturday, a whole bunch of cute girls came to my house for dinner, and Winnie was one of them. I tried to show her that cats are just as lovable as dogs.

All the other girls were so nice to me, taking pictures and playing with me. I'm so happy that I had a chance to make more new girlfriends. Please visit again!

Weather: Sunny. Yeah!

A Rough Weekend

I really hate going to the vet. I hate it so much, that this weekend, I went there twice just to make sure I hate it.

On Saturday my humans took me for something called "routine vaccines." Whatever.

But, after said shots, I didn't feel very well. My humans were monitoring me closely all weekend, and on Sunday I gave them a loud and clear message: "I'm sick!" when I thumbed my nose at some fresh tuna Cindy put right in my face.

After that, it was back in the car to a new kitty doctor. I had a temperature, and they had to keep me overnight. Everyone there was very nice, and they kept calling me "beautiful." I know, I know, just make me feel better! I've got my eye on that tuna...

My humans took me home early this morning, and I finally have enough energy to blog about my horrendous, sick weekend. Here's some more pics from my trials and tribulations over the last 48 hours.

Leaving the Pet Emergency Room
in Garden Grove at 6:30 a.m.
Hooray!

The only thing I hate more than the vet is the car.
Here I am next to Cindy as she helped me calm down on the way home.

In order to hook me up to this IV-thingie,
they had to shave part of my leg.

Pretty punk rock, eh?

A Word About Clouds

It's still a little early, but I don't see a single cloud in the sky! Hooray! In yesterday's post, I was a little premature about the sun. It ended up hiding most of the day, and showers came down intermittently. Bummer.

But! Today will be glorious. Today will be excellent. Today will be spent soaking up the rays to keep my golden-brown glow. Today will be good.

Weather: Come on Mr. Sun. Show me whatcha got.
